The VC 2000 features robust spur gears, adoptable high torque gear motor and the QuickSnap retaining system which makes pick changing a faster and easier process.

It also comes with the Pro bucket as standard, which leads all hydraulic hoses through the center of the extension arm and out of harm’s way.

The V-shaped tool offers up to 40% energy savings and due to its shape, it enables a cut with a flat base that ensures no material is left between the drums.

Other available features of the VC 2000 include mechanical and hydraulic rotatable bracket, a dust preventing water spraying system and HATCON, a monitoring system that can track important information such as operating hours, service intervals and location.

The data collected by HATCON is then presented on MyEpiroc, which the company believe will ‘increase the overall effectiveness’ of the system.

“The efficiency issues connected with trenching have been met with advanced, but expensive solutions. We’re pleased to present an alternative that will save time and money in virtually every aspect, from investment to energy and wear on the carrier.

“And it’s all achieved by the angles of the drum”, says Gordon Hambach, Global Business Manager for Hydraulic Attachment Tools at Epiroc.

“Providing solutions that can help our customers reach new levels is rewarding, not the least when it comes to energy saving and sustainability. They inspire us to constantly rethink all aspects of our offer, and VC 2000 is certainly a result of that”, concludes Gordon Hambach.
