Loxam renews communications and wireless connections contract

Loxam has renewed and extended its agreement with GTT Communicationms to connect and secure 115 depots in Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Ireland, Luxemburg, the Netherlands and Switzerland.

“Our new network and security solution with GTT will significantly boost the available bandwidth at our branches, ensuring our staff has secured high-speed access to our core rental systems,” said Didier Dechoux, CIO, Loxam.

“Our network is crucial to our business because constant, real-time visibility into rental equipment availability and usage enables us to deliver a smooth and responsive customer experience.”

Dechoux said the agreement represented the “second generation” of its cooperation with GTT. It has worked with the US-based company for eight years.

The agreement uses the GTT Envision platform, supporting performance, visibility and security across all locations. GTT Secure Connect includes an integrated ‘Firewall as a Service’, ensuring secure and resilient connectivity.

In addition, through its partnership with Ericsson Enterprise Wireless Solutions, GTT will provide Dedicated Internet Access (DIA) with 4G and 5G wireless connectivity.
