French telematics and data management specialist Hiboo has signed two new partnerships in the UK and France, expanding its customer base in the construction equipment rental market.

Announced during Bauma 2025 in Munich, Hiboo confirmed a three-year agreement with UK rental company Blackwood Plant Hire.

Under the deal, Hiboo will manage data across Blackwood’s entire fleet, providing information on equipment location, geo-fencing, fuel and carbon consumption, machine idling, fault codes, and real-time manufacturer data.

The platform will also allow Blackwood’s customers to access their own site data via dedicated accounts, offering increased transparency and support for sustainability goals.

In France, Hiboo has partnered with DRON Location, a rental company serving the construction, industrial, municipal, and events sectors.

DRON will use Hiboo to centralise its fleet data and support business growth, while meeting evolving market requirements.

Hiboo said its platform offers a unified, real-time view of fleet activity, with features designed to optimise maintenance, transport, and carbon tracking, and improve operational decision-making.

The new contracts follow Hiboo’s October 2024 partnership with Halomec, supporting its activities in the UK and Ireland.

The company, along with Halomec and Blackwood Plant Hire, will host a webinar on May 13 on how equipment data sharing is helping rental companies to deliver more value and service.
