Compressed air systems specialist Kaeser Kompressoren, which this year celebrates its 40th birthday, has revealed a new operating panel for three of its Mobilair compressor models at the Bauma exhibition in Munich, Germany.

Its new operating panel with a rotary switch is fitted to the Mobilair M125, M171 and M255 model machines, which provide between 11 and 25m³ or air per minute.

“Start-up and shutdown of the electronically controlled engine with EU Stage V / US Tier 4 emissions is performed simply and conveniently via a rotary switch control,” said Kaeser.

“All that is required to switch the machine on is to turn the red rotary switch from the left position to the right; the controller is activated, the engine starts and warms up, and the compressor begins to deliver the required volume of compressed air.”

The OEM said, “When an anniversary year coincides with a year in which the Bauma trade fair is being held, then something special needs to be on display.”

Alongside the new concept, Kaeser is also showcasing a cross-section of its entire Mobilair product portfolio.

With capacities ranging from 1m³ to 46m³ per minute, portable compressors on display from the Germany-based company features machines powered by diesel and petrol engines - and those with electric motors.

Alongside hand-pulled portable compressors and machines such as the oil-free compression compressed air M500-2 model, Kaeser’s exhibition also includes its Stage V compliant electric portable models and the new  M13, M17 and M20 compressors.

While both the M13 and M17 rotary screw compressors are driven by an air-cooled, 4-cylinder Honda petrol engine via a low-maintenance V-belt drive, the M20 is fitted with a water-cooled Kubota three-cylinder diesel engine.
