Nixon Hire to show ‘live’ sustainable site at Plantworx
11 September 2025
UK rental company Nixon Hire will showcase a “fully operational live site” with sustainable products during the UK’s largest construction equipment exhibition, Plantworx, taking place in Newark on 23 to 25 September.
The company said equipment will run in real conditions as it would on a project. At the heart of the site will be a working replica of its Renewable Power Hub, a control centre configured and run by Nixon’s technical team which unifies separate assets into a single, digitally connected site.
Visitors will also see Nixon’s customer portal, which gives contractors live visibility and reporting of energy use, uptime and emissions on site. The hub will sit inside a modular building, and the space will also be used to demonstrate Nixon’s new 32ft solar wind turbine frame, which creates continuous clean power through solar panels and wind turbines, with integrated battery storage.

Brian Cornett, the recently appointed CEO of Nixon Hire, said; “I am excited for people to experience firsthand where site hire is heading. Our fleet is second to none, but our edge is how we configure and connect every asset into one flow of live digital insight and put it to work through our world-class experts.
“That blend of data, connectivity and craft helps us get ahead of issues, optimise performance and provide clear reporting that can be relied on. We handle projects from start to finish, so customers stay focused on the job while we keep the site running smoothly, cut waste and maximise value.”
Plantworx, which is organised by the Construction Equipment Association (CEA), is held at the Newark Showground in the east of England between Manchester and Birmingham. The nearest airports are East Midlands Airport and Doncaster Robin Hood Airport, both of which are 35 miles from the site.
The showground is also close to Newark rail stations. Plantworx will run a shuttle bus to and from Newark Northgate train station throughout the three days of the show.
