Three new countries for Chinese rental firm Horizon
15 April 2026
Horizon Construction Development, the China-based aerial platform, formwork and scaffolding rental company, has established rental operations in Morocco, Tanzania and Kazakhstan as part of its continuing push into international markets.
In its unaudited accounts for the first quarter of the year to 31 March, Horizon said revenues from operations outside China grew by 70% year-on-year, and now accounted for more than 25% of total sales.
Overall, revenues in the quarter were down 5%, reflecting pressure on rental prices in China and a subdued business environment around the Chinese New Year holiday.
Horizon Construction Development has a MEWP rental fleet of more than 200,000 units.
Horizon said its domestic business saw a build-up of aerial platform fleet utilisation by the end of the quarter, reaching 78%. It made a loss during the quarter, but less than in the same period in 2025.
The company now has a total of 559 depots, comprising 482 in China and Hong Kong and 77 overseas.
It now operates in China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Turkey, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Tanzania, Morocco and Kazakhstan.
