Case Construction Equipment has launched a 55kW backhoe loader and an electric mini track loader, alongside updates to its 221G and 321G compact wheeled loaders.

The new 550SV marks the manufacturer’s first entry into Europe’s sub-80hp backhoe loader segment. Aimed at construction, municipal and rental applications, it is powered by a 2.8-litre, four-cylinder diesel engine producing 74hp (55kW).

The EU Stage V engine uses a diesel oxidation catalyst and diesel particulate filter, without requiring selective catalytic reduction or AdBlue.

The machine features an extendable dipper arm with inline cylinder design for better visibility and reach. The front loader features mechanical parallel lift and can be equipped with a range of attachments.

The new machine also boasts a load-sensing hydraulic system with a variable displacement pump, a Powershuttle transmission, digital instrument cluster, LED working lights, Bluetooth radio and air conditioning as standard.

Options include Ride Control, hydraulic breaker lines, a bi-directional auxiliary hydraulic circuit and a choice of loader buckets.

Umberto Celestini, backhoe loaders product manager at Case Construction Equipment, said the segment was particularly significant in Iberia, the UK and Eastern Europe.

“The 550SV has been engineered with an intentionally lean, focused and highly practical specification that is perfectly aligned with the expectations of this sector of the market,” he said.

Case has also added the TL100EV electric mini tracked loader to its electric utility machine range. Designed for landscaping, urban and farming applications, it has a tipping load of 1.3 tonnes and uses three independent electric motors: two for ground drive and one for hydraulics.

The manufacturer said the machine targets applications requiring low noise and zero tailpipe emissions. It accepts attachments through a Common Industry Interface coupling system.

The TL100EV comes in two track configurations. The narrow-track version measures 890mm wide, or 914mm with a bucket, while the wide-track version measures 1,026mm, increasing to 1,067mm with a bucket. Non-marking rubber tracks are available for indoor work.

Meanwhile, updates to the 221G and 321G compact wheeled loaders bring operator comfort, visibility, and ergonomic improvements previously introduced on the larger 421G to both models.

A new deluxe cab is now standard, with a seat-mounted control console, adjustable steering column and revised control layout. Case said front windscreen glazing has increased by 20%, while glazed door surface area has increased by 71%. A redesigned right-hand door, additional side glazing and a lowered front console are intended to improve sightlines.

Both models are available in 20kmh and 40kmh versions. The 321G offers a choice of standard Z-bar kinematic or an Extended Reach (XR) loader arm.
