Skylift, the truck mounted aerial platform rental division of Lavendon Group, has introduced a vehicle tracking and remote management system to its fleet of vehicles.

The UK company is using Masternaut Three X's web-based tracking system to track any vehicle at any time. In addition, Skylift is using the Masternaut ‘GreenerFleet' tool, a carbon footprint management system that reduces CO2 emissions and lowers fuel usage.

Martin Port, Masternaut Three X managing director, said; "Skylift's use of Masternaut Three X technology will give Skylift the big picture it needs to gain the control and savings it requires as well as enabling the organisation to optimise its assets to the full. We are looking forward to seeing the results of the implementation, which will show the evolution of Skylift into a greener and even more responsive organisation."

Skylift is also implementing Masternaut Three X's VisuLive web-based application at its National Customer Centre in Coventry. This gives visual displays on large screens in the depot and individual monitors, allowing managers and staff to oversee their entire business from one place.

Lavendon said the Three X technology will play an important part in Skylift's ongoing ‘TechX' programme; a requirement of all Lavendon Access Services depots that sets standards in areas such as engineering and equipment maintenance, environmental management, procurement, housekeeping and health and safety.
