IAPS Group played host to the Access Alliance this week.

The Access Alliance – a UK association of independent access rental companies - held its quarterly meeting at IAPS’ headquarters in Telford, Shropshire.

The Alliance chairman Jonathan Till, of GT Access, welcomed three new members, Warren Access, GFL Access and Extreme Access. This adds locations in Newcastle upon Tyne, Huntingdon, Conwy, Hailsham, Shepperton and Coventry.

At the meeting, Mr Till concluded his year as chairman of the Alliance, with Tony Crawford from Mr Plant taking on the role for the next 12 months.

Founded in 2010, the Access Alliance now has 18 member businesses across the UK, offering a combined rental fleet of more than 8000 powered access platforms, supported by more than 40 depots nationwide.

IAPS Group’s senior management team then showcased the new Aldercote range of van mounted booms, offering working heights from 12m – 18m, to Alliance members, along with the expansion of the Hi Viz range of high visibility spreader plates, produced by its Outriggerpads brand.

The day visit ended with a barbecue on board the Sabrina Goddess of the River while it cruised down the River Severn from Shrewsbury.

Steve Couling, managing director of IAPS Group, said, “We were delighted to once again host the Access Alliance. It was great to see how both organisations have gone from strength to strength since they last visited us.”
