Manitou revenues rise supported by Europe and North America

Manitou Group has reported a 13% increase in third-quarter revenue to €642 million, compared with €568 million in the same period last year, as strong European sales and a recovery in North America supported growth.

For the first nine-months, the French equipment manufacturer recorded revenue of €2.07 billion, an increase of 12.3% from €1.84 billion a year earlier. On a like-for-like basis, revenue increased by 12% in the third quarter and 13% over the nine-month period.

The company also confirmed its full-year 2026 forecast, expecting revenue growth of between 6.5% and 8%, despite continued raw material cost pressures and economic uncertainty.

Across the company’s three divisions, Europe remained the group’s main growth driver, with third-quarter revenue increasing 13.3% to €512 million. North American revenue rose 43.8% to €140 million, reflecting a recovery in deliveries, while revenue in Latin America, Asia-Pacific, Africa and the Middle East declined 2.7% to €88 million.

Machine orders also strengthened, with third-quarter order intake rising 19.3% to €512 million. For the first nine months of 2026, machine order intake increased 16.4% to €1.693 billion, compared with €1.454 billion in the same period last year. The group’s order book stood at €1.05 billion at the end of September, up 4.1% year on year.

Robust markets

Sylvain Blaise, president and CEO of Manitou Group, said, “The third quarter of 2026 confirms the very strong commercial trajectory achieved since the beginning of the year. This performance is driven by the continued robustness of our European markets and by a rebound in deliveries in North America during the third quarter within a dynamic market.

“The LAPAM region remains impacted by Asian competition and geopolitical tensions in the Middle East. Our fundamentals remain solid, with an order book standing at €1,051 million, providing good visibility for the end of the year.”

Blaise also pointed out that as part of the rollout of the company’s Lift 2030 plan, it had signed a strategic global partnership with Korean group Hyundai Develon Construction Equipment.

Driven by the momentum of the first nine months of the year and a robust order book, the group confirmed its guidance for the 2026 fiscal year and expects revenue growth between 6.5% and 8.%, alongside a recurring operating profit margin between 5.3% and 5.6%. “These outlooks, which incorporate proactive management of raw material pressures, remain subject to an uncertain macroeconomic and geopolitical environment,” added the company.

Manitou Group is scheduled to publish its fourth-quarter 2026 revenue figures on January 28, 2027.
