Management changes at Ramirent

One of Europe’s leading rental businesses has announced a number of management changes within days of updating its branding to reposition itself as a “knowledge-based company” offering “more than machines”.

Ramirent, based in Finland, has appointed Pierre Brorsson as its new chief financial officer and a member of the executive management team of Ramirent plc.

He succeeds Jonas Söderkvist, who takes up a new position as senior vice president (SVP) of the Sweden and Denmark businesses.

Erik Alteryd, the present SVP, becomes manager of region east in Sweden.

Mr Brorsson, who will start in his new role by the end of the year, was previously at Atlas Copco, most recently as vice president, business development in its Industrial Technique division.

Ramirent president and CEO Magnus Rosén said: “I am very pleased that through internal rotation in group management, we have secured the important positions of head of our activities in Sweden and Denmark and of head of the capital area region in Sweden, and at the same time attracted a strong experienced person for the role as chief financial officer.

“It will provide both continuity and a strong focus on further development to the benefit of our customers in the highly active Swedish market.”

Jonas Söderkvist has been with Ramirent since November 2009 as chief financial officer and executive vice president of corporate functions, where he has been instrumental in driving the transformation of the Ramirent group into a new generation rental company.

Erik Alteryd steps in to his new role with immediate effect, with Magnus Rosén becoming interim SVP of the Sweden and Denmark segments.

Ramirent has operations in 10 countries in the Nordic region, Central and Eastern Europe. Group sales in 2014 were €614 million and it has more than 2,600 employees.
