The Machinery division of Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo Company Ltd (Kanoo Machinery) is expanding its operations in Saudi Arabia, after opening a new facility in Jeddah.

Kanoo Machinery, Snorkel distributor in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Oman, has invested in a 3000 square metre (32,000sq ft) site that will provide sales, service and product support to its customer base. The new premises includes a showroom and sales offices; a warehouse for spare parts; a yard for machine inventory; and a repair centre fitted out with overhead cranes and welding equipment.

Bob Jennings, general manager for Kanoo Machinery in Saudia Arabia, said, “Jeddah is a high growth market which is developing at a very fast rate.

“These new premises help ensure that Kanoo Machinery can continue to offer the very best customer service and remain responsive to our clients’ changing needs.”

In total 45 employees work at the Jeddah site. Along with Snorkel, the new facility also represents and supports Kanoo’s other equipment brands including Grove, Hyster, Comp-air, Hiab, Ausa, Perkins, Shantui concrete equipment, Aisle-Master and Combi-Lift.

Mick Wright, director of Snorkel Middle East, added, “This investment once more demonstrates Kanoo’s commitment to its customers in Jeddah. The facilities are first class and there is a really strong team in place there.”
