PB Lifttechnik new production facility under construction.

The PB Lifttechnik is building a new production facility based at its existing location in Germany.

Added to its existing facilities, the plant will allow PB to quadruple its capacity, allowing repair and maintenance work, particularly, to be carried out faster and more efficiently in the future.

The production area will be equipped with two new bridge cranes to accelerate assembly operations. Furthermore with a ceiling height of 10 m said it is preparing itself PB, “for future market requirements”.

The design and engineering department will move into integrated offices, thereby strengthening the working cooperation between all processes.

It will also include additional new offices and social areas for workers and is expected to be completed at the beginning of the fourth quarter this year.

“The goal is it to maintaining the trust of our customers and further increase their satisfaction with PB products and services,” said a company spokesman.

The new facility will incorporate new products, including the compact PB S06-7ECS mini-scissor, launched at Bauma. It has a working height of 5.60m with a lift capacity of 240kg and is designed as an easy to use alternative to ladders.

It also offers conventional steering, an emission-free electro-direct drive and a smooth proportional control and can carry two persons in confined spaces. Thanks to foldable rails it fits through standard doors and in elevators. Automatic pothole protection provides extra safety at door thresholds, for example. The machine can also be used outside with one person.

At the other end of the spectrum , the new PB S225-24ES 4x4 expands the PB’s Top 24 rough terrain scissor range, with a 223m working height and a Mega-Deck platform measuring 7.20m x 2.36m, offering a great deal of working space and a 750 kg lift capacity for up to four workers, materials and tools.

An electro-hydraulic four-wheel-drive and a standard differential lock provides unwavering propulsion on tough surfaces. A fully automatic support system ensures stability while working.
