Dozr rental marketplace bought be eCommerce group
04 December 2025
Canada-based equipment rental marketplace Dozr entered receivership in early October and by the end of the month had been acquired by Canadian ecommerce business Inspiration Commerce Group (ICG).
KPMG was appointed receiver after Dozr experienced financial problem, with debts of around C$4.2 million. The rental marketplace operated in the US and Canada, employed around 40 people in Canada, USA and Asia, and had revenues of approximately C$14 million for the eight months to the end of August.
ICG , based in Toronto, Canada, specialises in buying ecommerce platforms and was created in April 2024 following Bonsai’s acquisition of German fashion platform MyBestBrands.
Brett Liu, the COO of ICG, told Canadian publication Kitchener-Waterloo Record; “The founding vision the company had is just as clear today as it was a decade ago.
“Right now, it is really about going back to basics, rebuilding that foundation, and scaling up in a sustainable, profitable way where we can be in control of our own destiny and we can build a strong, solid, reliable business.”
“It is business as usual,” he told Kichener-Waterloo Record, “The goal is to have a seamless transition for the customers.”
