Brian King has resigned as joint managing director of CTE UK, with effect from the end of June, it was announced during the first day of the UK’s Vertikal Days show.

Mr King was part of the start-up of CTE UK in 2002 and has worked with the company since then. However, he is also heavily involved in low level access manufacturer Power Towers and it is this business that he will now focus on. Power Towers has been successful is developing low height products, with customers including Nationwide, Hire Station and Riwal.

Michele Hillebrand, the CTE Spa manager who is also managing director of CTE UK, said; “On behalf of the management and all employees of both CTE Spa and CTE UK, I would like to thank Brian for his past contribution to the success of CTE in the UK, and wish him much good luck for the future.”

Mr King said; “I really enjoyed my 10/11 years with CTE, and think that I am leaving CTE UK at the right time and in good hands. Graeme Hill [CTE UK general manager], who joined the company almost three years ago, has proven to have the operational experience and customer orientation which are key aspects to deliver a good after sales service to CTE’s UK and Irish customers”.

While at CTE, Mr King helped developed the UK market for lightweight truck mounts and in particular the articulated sigma boom design.
