To meet increased demand for secure storage facilities, A-Plant’s Accommodation Division has purchased more than 500 storage units from Containex.

The order comprises 10ft and 20ft units, which are made from robust, galvanised steel and provide storage of up to 10 tonnes and anti-theft protection for goods on construction or customer sites.

With optimal cathodic dip coating and a powder coated top coat, the stores are corrosion and UV resistant. Security features such as galvanised locking bars and anti-jemmy devices add protection against theft or vandalism. The new stores can be handled with a crane or forklift truck and can be stacked up to three units high.

Ian Needham, A-Plant’s director of accommodation said, “These units provide our customer base with additional storage and not only are they ideal for use on construction sites, they offer a flexible space solution for end users. For example, they could be placed on petrol forecourts for storage of additional stock or they could be used in school grounds for storage of seasonal items. They’re also ideal for storage of exhibition materials or for storing bulky items that businesses may have difficulty finding room for.”
