United Rentals said its first quarter results reflected a “strong start” to the year as its customers continued to recover from the worst of the pandemic.
Revenues for the period to 31 March were 6.5% down year-on-year at US$1.67 billion, with the general rentals business 8.7% lower and the specialist business (trenching, power and pumps) up 1.3%. The same quarter in 2020 was impacted by Covid-related lockdowns.
