New CEO for Shore Hire Australia

Australian specialty rental company Shore Hire, which supplies shoring, propping and traffic equipment to the construction sector, has appointed Ashley Lancaster CEO.

Lancaster will be based at Shore Hire’s head office in Sydney, New South Wales, overseeing the teams in Newcastle, Melbourne, Brisbane, Sunshine Coast and Adelaide.

He took up his position as CEO in October, following his role as Shore Hire’s National Operations Manager and succeeding former CEO, Richard Purser, who has retired as CEO, while maintaining a position on the board.

Lancaster’s career spans over 20 years, with previous roles including Regional Manager at construction equipment supplier Gough & Gilmour and General Manager NSW & ACT at Coates Hire.

He joined Shore Hire in February 2018 as Assets, People and Compliance Manager, and in June 2019 became National Operations Manager, responsible for Shore Hire’s national branch network and manufacturing teams. 

He also holds qualifications from Harvard Business School’s Executive Program and an Advanced Diploma in Business Management.
