The digital event showcases the latest construction equipment and related technology and will run from the 30 to 31 March this year.

Doosan said it would introduce a “host of next generation machines”, including articulated dump trucks, that feature new Stage V engines and provide increased fuel efficiency and productivity, and a lower cost of ownership that previous models.

The company’s new DL-7 range is the first complete redesign of its wheeled loader range in 10 years.

Along with a restyled exterior, the DL580-7 model has a new cab that provides greater visibility and comfort than Doosan’s DL-5 predecessor models. Inside, the cab offers improved steering and includes Doosan’s Smart Key system, which allows operators to start the machine using a keyless device and helps to prevent machine theft.

Doosan will also debut its largest ever excavator. The 80 t DX800LC-7 is powered by the new stage V Perkins 2506J diesel engine that provides a power output of 403 kW (548 HP).

The high output of the engine is combined with a Virtual Bleed Off (VBO) hydraulic system (D-Ecopower+), providing a hydraulic flow of 1008 l/min and a high system pressure of 343 bar for increased productivity and lower fuel consumption during heavy applications. Other features include the 360-degree view monitoring system for improved safety.

Alongside the DX800LC-7, Doosan will also show its new Stage V DX530LC-7 crawler excavator. Suitable for large-scale earthmoving, demolition, quarrying, mining and aggregate applications, the is fitted with a Stage V Scania DC13 diesel engine and after-treatment technology to ensure minimal emissions.

Doosan’s display at Hillhead Digital will also include its Stage V compliant DA30-7 and DA45-7 articulated dump trucks (ADTs), with payloads of 28 and 41 t respectively.

Equipped with Scania engines, the new ADTs have both been upgraded with a new cab and self-levelling front suspension, which adjusts itself depending on the operating conditions for a more comfortable working environment. Other changes incorporated by the new ADTs include repositioned diesel and AdBlue tanks, that allow the operator to fill both tanks whilst standing next to the machine.

Doosan said the new ADTs also have a real-time payload measuring system as standard. The system uses a light indicator to help excavator operators place optimal loads in the ADTs and improve productivity and low fuel consumption.
