Hilti sees double-digit growth in 2017

Hilti Group has announced a 10.8% increase to its full-year revenues for 2017, reaching CHF5.1 billion (€4.4 billion).

The manufacturer saw growth throughout all its regions, operating in over 120 countries where it employs more than 23,000 people. Europe saw growth of 9.7% year-on-year, while North America increased 8.5%. Latin America was also up, despite a tough economy, with growth of 9.7%. Finally, Asia Pacific rose 5.3%, while the EMEA region rose 17.4%, with Russia leading the way.

CEO Christoph Loos, said, “We owe this milestone to our global team that is working with consistency and dedication to implement the objectives of our corporate strategy.

“Once again, we have launched more than 60 new products, extended our portfolio significantly and strengthened our global sales team.”

Loos added, “With this solid foundation firmly in place, we managed to make even better use of last year’s favourable market conditions. It is our intention to maintain this momentum.”
