United Rentals has expanded its specialty rentals operation by opening new trench safety and power rental locations in New Hampshire, New Jersey and Texas.

In Manchester, New Hampshire, the company has opened a Trench Safety location, while the new locations at Elmwood Park, New Jersey and Corpus Christi, Texas are for temporary power and HVAC equipment for construction and industrial markets.

Paul McDonnell, senior vice president - operations, trench safety, power and HVAC, said, "We are continuing to invest in our position as the leading single-source provider of equipment rental solutions for construction, industrial and government applications.

"The needs of our customers often encompass trench safety, temporary power and climate control services, as well as general construction equipment. We have the ability to address these needs at any jobsite in North America."

United Rentals has a network of 529 rental locations in 48 states and every Canadian province. It hopes to close soon on its acquisition of RSC Equipment Rental.
