Martin McManus is new general manager of IT at Kennards Hire

Kennards Hire, Australia’s largest rental company, has announced the appointment of Martin McManus to the role of General Manager of Information Technology (IT).

McManus has more than 30 years of experience and had previously worked for global port operator DP World as its Chief Information Officer. He will manage the company’s IT networks and automated systems, and lead its digital transformation and IT strategy.

Angus Kennard, CEO of Kennards Hire, said, “Martin’s deep-rooted industry knowledge and focus on exceptional customer outcomes will be critical to the ongoing digital transformation of our business.”

In a statement, McManus, said the team at Kennards had already created a strong platform to build upon; “I’m looking forward to contributing to the development of our people and services to ensure we have the most responsive, reliable and secure technology in the hire industry.”

The family-run firm employs over 1,600 staff members and has more than 180 branches across Australia and New Zealand.
