Sweden’s HLL buys crane rental firm
25 August 2026
Swedish equipment rental company Hyreslandslaget (HLL) is to acquire crane rental firm BinSell Sverige AB. The deal will add around 120 mobile and tower cranes to HLL’s general rental fleet.
Under the deal, BinSell’s owners, Daniele Solito and Lars-Olov Johansson, will reinvest a significant portion of the purchase price in HLL’s parent company, HLL TopCo AB.
BinSell's rental fleet includes wheeled mobile, crawler, tower and truck-mounted cranes.
BinSell rents mobile, tower, crawler and truck-mounted cranes, and is active in the Stockholm-Mälardalen region, as well as in Gothenburg, Malmö and Uppsala. It will continue to operate under its existing brand with the same management team.
The acquisition, plus that of rental company Herok in May this year, will increase HLL’s annual revenues from around €66 million to €135 million. BinSell’s annual revenues are €42 million.
Karl-Oskar Engström, CEO of HLL, said; “We have followed BinSell for a long time and have been impressed by the company’s development and strong market position.
“Together, we can create a stronger customer offering, share expertise between the companies and identify new business opportunities that strengthen the entire group.”
A good partner
Daniele Solito, CEO and co-owner of BinSell, said the deal was a natural step for the business; “We have found a partner that shares our belief in strong entrepreneurship and a clear customer focus…This is about working together to build something even better for both our customers and our employees.”
Completion of the deal is expected during the second half of 2026 and is subject to regulatory approval.
HLL Hyreslandslaget was founded in 2011 with a single depot in Västberga, Stockholm. Before the Herok and BinSell acquisitions it had 26 rental depots around Sweden and 230 employees.
In November last year it shifted to second generation leadership, with Lisa Toresson appointed chair of the board and Karl-Oskar Engström becoming CEO.
