Atlas Copco reports big increase at Power Technique division
22 October 2026
Revenue and order intake increased sharply at Atlas Copco’s Power Technique in the third quarter of the year, bolstered by strong demand for equipment and growth at its global Specialty Rental business.
Revenues were up 25% year-on-year to SEK8711 million (€784 million), while the order intake for the three months was also 25% higher at SEK8411 million (€757 million).
Power Technique is the business that includes portable generators and compressors, pumps and lighting towers, as well as a large equipment rental business. The company said there was organic growth of 14% year-on-year plus a 10% growth component from acquisitions.
Copco said demand for portable compressors and industrial pumps has led the increase in equipment sales, with order intake across all equipment particularly strong in North America.
Growth in the order intake at the Specialty Rental business “increased significantly” in the quarter, driven by recent rental acquisitions. Orders increased in North America, Europe and EMEA regions and were flat in Asia.
Vagner Rego, president and CEO of Atlas Copco Group, said; “The overall demand for Atlas Copco Group’s products, services and solutions was very strong, and order intake increased significantly.
“Most equipment segments delivered solid growth and the service business continued to develop positively.”
Earlier this week Mikael Andersson was appointed president of the Power Technique business, effective 1 January 2027, following the previously announced retirement of Andrew Walker.
