Power Towers Nederland, the new Netherlands sales company for the UK mini-platform manufacturer, has notched up its first significant sales since its formation several months ago, with both Loxam Nederland and Riwal placing orders.

Brian King, managing director of Power Towers Ltd - which is a minority shareholder of the Netherlands business - told Access International that Loxam Nederland had placed an order for an "initial quantity of machines - it's a significant order for us." Riwal has ordered two Nano SP models.

Power Towers Nederland is jointly owned by Michael Waardenburg and Arie van Tienderen, and one of the company's first employees is veteran sales manager Hans van Gameren, who is working full-time in the business.

Mr van Tienderen also owns a mechanical and electrical contractor and he has ordered some of the Power Tower units for his own business.

Meanwhile, Power Towers is the latest supplier to pledge €500 for the APEX charity fun run taking place on the Friday morning of the show. The run will raise funds for the Ronald McDonald House in Maastricht, which provides accommodation for the families of children being treated at Maastricht hospital.
