US-based software company Point of Rental has updated its Elite system to allow rental users to search for particular product features, such as engine or tyre type, when creating orders.

The new Item Options feature offers rental company users the possibility to customise their product catalogues, providing “enhanced searchability and for counter agents to find the right item to rent, every time.”

Point of Rental said Item Options allows for enhanced searchability and for counter agents to find the right item to rent, every time.

John Wooten, product manager for Elite said, “Once you’ve set the options for items in your fleet, this feature will allow your staff to see availability for items with the required options. This makes searching for items fast and easy, making customers happy and rental businesses more profitable.”

The Item Options feature is available on Elite now and will be made available in the eCommerce functionality in the near future.
