Palfinger 90 m to Collé

Collé Rental & Sales has added the 90 m Palfinger Platforms P900 Top Class truck mount to its fleet.

The company, which covers the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium and now offers the complete Palfinger Platforms range, will use the P900 in application’s including wind turbines, chemical installations, radio masts, high buildings, church towers and container cranes.

The P900 will be added to the re-rent segment of Collé Rental & Sales in which the company offers non-liveried machines to other rental companies throughout Europe. “The machine’s suitability to everyday use and the 90 m vertical range make the P900 a very attractive access platform to various parties,” said a company spokesmen.

The model was first introduced at Bauma in Munich, Germany this year after Palfinger saw a need for a machine in the 70 m to 100 m vertical height range. It was developed in close partnership with customers which led to outrigger pads permanently attached to the stabilisers.

The machine also automatically calculates the optimal working range and incorporates a concealed diesel tank to prevent fuel-theft. In addition, extra working space on the chassis has been created; even a bicycle can be stored safely on the machine, said the company.

The P900 has a reach of 32.3 m and a lift capacity of 530 kg - optional up to 700 kg. The jib is able to rotate 180 degrees, combined with a 2 x 90 degree working basket. It can also reach 8 m below surface level and is built on a 5-axle undercarriage, of which the fifth axle can be lifted. Total vehicle weight is below 48 tonnes.
