New Hamm rollers ‘ideal for rental’

Hamm has introduced two new compact tandem rollers, the HD 10 G VV and the HD 12 G VV, with “uncomplicated operation” making them well suited for rental fleets.

The 2.5 to 2.7t models are designed for the construction of roads and pathways, and in gardening and landscaping.

The rollers have been launched in France this year and will be available in the UK during 2026, with details of availability in other markets to follow.

Hamm, which is part of the Wirtgen Group, said both models could be operated confidently by even inexperienced operations “without a length induction”.

Another rental feature is ease of servicing, with all maintenance points readily accessible. Hamm said that applied also to the 18.2kW Yanmar engine used on both machines.

There are multiple tie-down points and a central lifting point for quick loading, easing their transport by rental company owners.

The machines have two vibrating rollers and a three-point articulation, which Hamm said results in level asphalt surfaces, without undulation formation.

Options available on the new rollers include LED work lights, an anti-freeze filling system, a back-up alarm and the possibility of connecting to the John Deere Operations Center.

The machines can also be fitted with an automatic engine-off function to reduce diesel consumption and carbon emissions.
