MAS places US$1.4million Haulotte order

Two of MAS' new HS18E Pro models Media Access Solutions has now taken delivery of eight new HS18E Pro scissors.

Media Access Solutions (MAS), a powered access rental company for the TV & film industry in the UK, has revealed that it has placed a £1.0 million (US$1.37 million) order for 21 new scissors and booms from Haulotte.

The company, which provides rental, sales and IPAF and telehandler training, will add four Comp12DX booms, two HA20 diesel booms and 15 of Haulotte’s new Pulseo 100% electric mega deck scissor lifts.

MAS placed the order last year and its first eight the Pulseo HS18E units were delivered 14 April.

Tim Kendall-Bostock, managing director at MAS, said, “Our customers have very particular requirements when choosing a powered access platform and we are seeing growing demand toward zero or low emission machines.

“The new Haulotte Pulseo scissor lifts fit the bill perfectly. With a high level of standard specification including the Haulotte Activ’Screen built-in diagnostics system, Activ’Energy Management system which uses a smart charger to monitor the charge and condition of the batteries and the unique Haulotte Activ’Lighting loading lights, they are a well built and robust machine which can be used indoors and outdoors, benefiting our customers tremendously”.

Offering silent and clean operation, the HS18E Pro model was launched by the manufacturer just last year. It has a working height of 18m and is equipped with Haulotte’s Activ’Screen configuration and diagnostic display.

MAS’ order also included four compact 12DX scissors with a working height of 12m and two 20m HA20 diesel booms.

All the units have a platform capacity of 750kg and will feature a black colour scheme to suit the production process requirements of the company’s clients.

The new machines, which are due to be used at Pinewood Studios in the coming weeks, will join MAS’s fleet of scissors, cherry pickers, spider lifts forklifts and telehandlers.
