Kiloutou expands railway equipment offering
26 June 2025
Kiloutou said it will roll-out nationally its railway maintenance equipment offer following successful year-long trials in the Centre-Val de Loire, Hauts-de-France and Île-de-France regions of France.
The rental company said the trials had confirmed the relevance of the rental model for the rail sector.
Pierre Knoché, Kiloutou’s managing director France, said the rail division was an integral part of the company’s diversification strategy; “Initial trials conducted last year were successful and confirmed the market potential.
“With the support of key partners, including SNCF, we aim to actively contribute to track renovation work by offering a service tailored to the specific requirements of these projects, which are characterised by long distances and operations that take place during the day, at night and at weekends.”
Kiloutou announced the expansion as it attended French railways exhibition SIFER (Salon International du Ferroviaire) in Lille on 24 to 26 June 2025.

The rail equipment range comprises around ten specialist items selected from two suppliers, Geismar and Cembre. The equipment is approved by SNCF.
Olivier Colleau, CEO of Kiloutou, said; “Kiloutou’s business is no longer just about renting equipment. We are broadening our approach to become a performance partner, working closely with our customers to provide tailor-made solutions for a wide range of projects, from traditional construction and civil engineering to sporting events and railways.’
Kiloutou’s diversification strategy is focused on some key sectors, including major civil engineering projects, energy, industry and services, events and rail. Growth in these areas will be important for the company to meet its target of doubling revenue by 2030.
