Instagrid joins ERA to support clean power in rental

The European Equipment Rental Association (ERA) has welcomed Instagrid as a new member, bringing additional expertise on battery-based, portable power solutions for rental fleets and their customers.

Instagrid said it joined ERA because rental companies “play a pivotal role in driving Europe’s progress toward net zero targets,” and because the company wants to better understand—and respond to—the collective needs of the rental industry as demand grows for cleaner alternatives on sites and in temporary power applications.

By becoming part of ERA, Instagrid plans to engage in knowledge-sharing and policy discussions, with a particular interest in topics linked to sustainability, IoT and telemetry.

The company said the membership will help ensure its products continue to support rental companies and end users in day-to-day operations, while strengthening its connection to rental leaders and market developments across Europe.

Looking to 2026, Instagrid’s priorities include advancing product innovation, deepening customer insight, and accelerating sustainability in the rental sector.

Instagrid sees ERA’s role as a convenor—bringing together the industry’s collective voice—as a practical way to understand how rental companies are integrating clean, portable power solutions into their fleets and how this supports customers’ pathways toward net zero.

Instagrid added that ERA’s platform for collaboration will also inform its longer-term strategy, and it expects to continue these conversations with members during ERA’s exhibition in June.

Instagrid is also shortlisted for Product of the Year in this year’s European Rental Awards, a recognition that will be highlighted in the context of ERA’s annual convention and exhibition, where industry stakeholders meet to exchange on market developments, innovation and the sector’s contribution to sustainability.
