HSS opens rental desk at United Tool branch

HSS Hire has opened at rental desk at a branch of United Tools and Fixings (UTF), one if the UK's biggest suppliers of power tools and welding equipment.

The rental desk has opened at UTF's Takeley branch, offering customers the option to rent tools and equipment as well as book technical and safety training with HSS.

HSS would not say if other UTF branches would also eventually have HSS rental desks but said it would consider further "trade counter and agency opportunities as they arise."

Fiona Perrin, key account and marketing director at HSS Hire, said; "At HSS, it's all about making it easy for our customers to do business with us; being there whenever and wherever they need us to keep their businesses working.

"We've got a nationwide network of branches and supercentres and as we look to maintain and grow our presence, concessions like this partnership with UTF add yet another channel for customers to hire from HSS".

UTF director, Carol McLaughlin, said; "We are delighted to expand our business into Hire Service. HSS Hire was the obvious partner for us, with their huge breadth of fleet equipment, national branch network and impressive safety record".
