GSV announces changes to leadership

Denmark-based equipment rental company GSV has announced the appointment of Frank Olesen as its new CEO, replacing Dan O. Vorsholt who will now serve as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors.

Olesen was appointed COO in 2017, in which time the company saw its turnover double, while it also expanded its coverage in Denmark to 22 locations.

Working alongside Vorsholt, Olesen also oversaw the intergration into Kiloutou, which acquired GSV last year.

According to the company, the appointment of Olesen will help GSV to expand and continue the “strong growth” of revenue in the next five years.

Olesen said, “As we, in recent years, have continued to acquire and grow within Denmark and become part of a European family, I have taken over more from Dan in the day-to-day management.

“I understand the task, but I also know what to do to achieve our rather ambitious growth targets. We want to continue our strong growth in turnover the next five years, even though we’re facing a market that looks more difficult than the previous five.

“By utilising our unique breadth, together with our customers, and strengthening our efforts on the Danish market with Kiloutou behind us, we will achieve our growth plans.”

In his new role on the Board, Vorholst will support the ESG, digitisation, and commercial development within GSV.

Vorholst said, “Frank and I will undoubtedly continue to have a close partnership, but I am also looking forward to my new role, where I can get closer to our customers and partners in the industry.”
