Suppliers to the UK rental market are preparing to launch a wide range of new products at the Executive Hire Show in Coventry, UK on 6 and 7 February.

The show, which is held at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry – just 25 minutes by taxi from Birmingham International Airport – will see more than 125 companies attending, including 25 who are new to the show or returning after a gap of three or more years.

Highlights include the launch of the range of dedicated rental gensets from Cummins Power Generation; new Gehl compact tracked loaders on the Manitou stand; and a large rental generator from SDMO.

Wacker Neuson will show its new ET18, ET20 and ET24 mini excavators in the 1.7 to 2.4 t class – all fitted as standard in the UK with Wacker’s Vertical Digging System (VDS) – and lighting tower specialist TowerLight will display its new TL Security Tower, developed with partner Onwatch.

The Access Platform Company, meanwhile, launches two new platforms: the Powerlift personnel lift has a working height of 7 m, weighs just 129 kg and is raised by a power drill, and the Skywinder mini has a working height of up to 4 m and is manually operated.

The show organisers and rental software provider Higher Concept Software have got together to offer two business seminars on the opening day of the show, one on Cloud Computing and the other on Social Networking.

The free seminars start at 8.00 am and finish at 9.00 am, when the show opens. To attend, turn up at 7.45 am and complete your registration before moving to the seminar room. Tea, coffee and a breakfast roll will be provided.

Finally, the organisers will refund taxi fares for visitors arriving from Birmingham International Airport. Take your receipt to the organiser’s office and you’ll get a cash refund.
