The European Construction Industry Federation (FIEC) has announced that it is to hold a series of webinars for construction contractors, as part of efforts to promote green construction.

With European legislation across all sectors set to tighten as the region drives towards Net Zero by 2050, the FIEC said, “Soon, key buildings legislation is going to be introduced or revised and the construction industry has to undergo a deep transformation to adapt to these developments and to contribute to the overall ambition of carbon neutrality.”

“With this webinar, FIEC wants to provide practical insights on green housebuilding from a business perspective and make the business case for greener construction”.

The first in the series of online events will take place on 23 November, 2021, and will focus on the future of housebuilding.

Moderated by Oliver Rapf, the Executive Director of the Buildings Performance Institute Europe, it look at what construction companies can do to become greener with guest speakers including Joel Schons, CEO of Stugalux Construction and FIEC Vice President, and Lorraine Fitzgerals, head of sustaintability at Glenveagh Properties.
