Electricity North West has taken delivery of a custom platform mounted on a tracked undercarriage from Versalift UK.

The platform has been designed by Time International to match the tough demands of the company.

The machine is capable of scaling extremely rough terrain to access electrical lines in the most inaccessible locations. The AWP is an articulated, telescopic Versalift LAT-38-140-H with full hydraulic controls mounted on a Takeuchi TCR50 tracked undercarriage.

The machine is designed to provide a very stable platform with extremely low ground bearing pressure making it capable of passing over wet terrain and scaling steep inclines.

Equipped with two pairs of long travel A-frame outriggers, the AWP is capable of levelling the deck in the most uneven terrain. The AWP has a maximum working height of 13.8 m, 6.4 m outreach and a maximum platform capacity of 230 kg.

Time launched the LAT (light articulated telescopic) series at Vertikal Days in 2014 and the AWP is typically installed on 4x4 pickups such as the Toyota Hilux and the Isuzu D-Max.
