Change at Cramo as COO steps down
13 May 2025

Martin Holmgren is to step down from his role as chief operating officer of Cramo on 1 July 2025, it has been announced.
Cramo said Holmgren, who has been with the Finland-based rental company for more than 20 years, will leave to begin a new chapter in his career, with the COO position set to be restructured internally.
Holmgren was appointed COO in 2020 following Boels Rental’s acquisition of Cramo. Before that, he served as senior vice president of Fleet Management.
Cramo said he was a key figure during the transition period after Boels’ takeover, helping to align its Nordic and Baltic operations with the wider Boels-Cramo Group.
Pierre Boels, CEO of Boels Rental, said, “I would like to express my gratitude for his exceptional contributions over the years. His deep rental industry knowledge, strong leadership and dedication have been key to our success.”
Holmgren added, “It’s been a privilege to be part of this incredible journey. I’m proud of what we’ve built together and confident that the best is yet to come. I’m stepping away with deep gratitude and an even deeper belief in the continuous success of Boels and Cramo.”
Holmgren first joined Cramo in 2003 and became a member of the executive team in 2009.
Following the 2020 acquisition, he was tasked with leading the Northern European business unit under the Cramo brand as Boels moved to divide its operations into Central and Northern regions.
