Ramirent CEO to step down this year

Erik Bengtsson is to step down from his role as CEO of Ramirent Group on 15 August 2025, it has been announced.

Bengtsson, who has led the company since 1 January 2020, joined following the acquisition of Ramirent by the France-headquartered Loxam Group in 2019.

He has also served as a member of the Loxam Group Executive Committee during that time.

Loxam said Bengtsson played a key role in the integration of Ramirent into the wider Group and in the strategic consolidation of its operations, highlighting his leadership, commitment, and in-depth knowledge of the Nordic markets.

Gérard Déprez, chairman of Loxam Group and chairman of Ramirent, said, “Erik has led this pivotal period with professionalism, clarity and determination.

“His leadership within the Executive Committee and his in-depth knowledge of the Nordic markets have been decisive assets for the Group’s success in the region. I would like to sincerely thank him for his strategic contribution and for the strong and committed teams he leaves behind.’

Bengtsson added, “I am grateful for the opportunity to have contributed to this professional adventure. The past few years have been marked by ambitious challenges and collective successes.”

Ramirent said its established practices and way of working would ensure a smooth continuation of business. Loxam added that it had full confidence in Ramirent’s local management teams and employees to continue driving the company’s development across its markets.
