Atlas Copco Specialty Rental serves Vietnam power plant

Atlas Copco Specialty Rental has supplied three class zero certified, 100% oil-free PTS916 air compressors to PetroVietnam's Ca Mau gas-power-fertilizer complex in South Vietnam for commissioning and pressure testing duties.
The compressors are being used for pipeline and instrumentation pressure testing on a multi-month contract.
Housed within a fully weatherproof canopy, the PTS916 oil-free air compressor has an integrated aftercooler fitted as standard and is refinery equipped with an overspeed shutdown system and spark arrestor.
Wuhuan Engineering Co Ltd, the main contractor for PetroVientam's Ca Mau complex, entered into the agreement with Atlas Copco's distributor for South Vietnam, Huynh Thy Trading & Services.
The Ca Mau gas-power-fertilizer complex covers a 200 ha site and comprises a gas pipeline, urea plant and a thermal power plant. It includes two thermal gas-fuelled power plants supplying a total capacity of 550 MW, a 330 km x 460 mm dia pipeline and an 800,000 metric tons/annum urea plant.
