UK rental company AFI has acquired Wilson Access Hire, based in West Yorkshire.
It follows AFI's expantion of its training business last year with the acquisition of UTN Training in Wakefield and Shropshire-based Instant Training.
Wilson Access Hire, Ltd. has been in operation for 10 years and has 12 employees, a fleet of 14 truck mounts and three track mounted booms. As well as its main base at Elland, Wilson Access also has a small Southern operation based at Leighton Buzzard.
Tom Wilson of Wilson Access decided to sell the company so that he could devote more time to his other business interests.
The firm will become part of the AFI group of companies and fall under the management of AFI director Richard Saunders. “Wilson Access is highly regarded and in recognition of this, we are retaining the Wilson name. Wilson’s customers will have the added advantage of having access to AFI’s UK network of 20 depot and training centres and our modern and versatile powered access hire fleets of over 4,000 machines,” said Mr Saunders.
