Norwegian rental firm strengthens Oslo footprint
18 August 2014
Norwegian work platform rental firm Bærum Liftutleie AS (Bærum Lift Rental Inc.) has been acquired by fellow Norwegian rental company Nabofellesskapet (Naboen) and changes its name to Naboen Utleie Oslo AS.
Under its new ownership, Naboen said it aimed for revenues of NOK160 million (€19.5 million) in 2014.
”We are very happy to strengthen our position in the Oslo region,” said Nina Aasland, CEO of Naboen.
Based in Stavanger, Naboen was well established in Haugesund and Bergen and said it hoped its new acquisition would help the company expand into the Oslo market.
Ms Aasland forecast a high level of construction activity in downtown Oslo, and said that the acquisition was an important part of their expansion plan for Naboen in eastern Norway.
”We have had a presence here for a couple of years already with Naboen Varme og Tørketeknikk. Now, we can supply rental equipment of whatever it takes to build Oslo,” she added.
