ERA Convention speakers to address ‘transitions in rental’

The 2024 ERA Convention
Leading voices in rental and construction will participate in the European Rental Association’s 2025 Convention on 4 and 5 at the Dublin Royal Convention Centre in Dublin, Ireland.
Under the theme ‘Navigating Transitions in Rental’ the event will see speakers explore the energy transition, digitalisation, artificial intelligence and market trends.
There will be speakers from Volvo Construction Equipment, Ritchie Bros, Sunbelt Rentals, SmartEquip and KPMG.
The keynote presentation by Jamie Anderson, professor of leadership & strategy at Antwerp Management School and visiting professor at INSEAD, is titled ‘Leading in a complex world’.

Plenary Session – Part 1: Panel discussion on total cost of ownership (TCO)

Plenary Session – Part 2: From digitalisation to AI
- Alex Schuessler (SmartEquip / Rouse) will deliver a presentation on the role of digitalisation and AI in the rental industry.
Plenary Session – Part 3: Market trends
- Martin Seban, Director at KPMG, gives an updated rental forecast and construction market outlook for 2025 and 2026.
Convention Workshops
In addition to the plenary sessions, the programme includes workshops covering key topics, including:
- Promotions, moderated by Pierre-Yves Rallet (Loxam)
- Technical, moderated by Matt Ross (Sunbelt Rentals UK)
- Sustainability, moderated by Douglas McLuckie (Sunbelt Rentals UK)

ERA Convention 2025 registration
Registration for the Convention costs €750 (excluding VAT) for ERA members and €1,250 for non-members. The fee covers the two-day programme, lunches, coffee breaks, and the European Rental Awards dinner. There is a pre-event Dublin tour and reception on 3 May, which costs extra.
