Bison Plant's new JCB JZ140 tracked excavators get to work on a housing development in Gloucestershire.

UK rental firm Bison Plant has acquired six new JCB JZ140 tracked excavators, with the vehicles already being put to use on a housing development in Gloucestershire.

Bison specialises in offering zero tailswing models, which is why it took the decision to purchase the JZ140 models. According to plant manager Guy Tomblin, clients often demand a zero tailswing on housing developments, where space is at a premium but safety and minimal damage are of paramount importance.

The six new JCBs join Bison's fleet of operated and self -drive excavators, hydraulic breakers, backhoe loaders, bowsers and dumpers.

Bison purchased the new 14-tonne machines from local dealer Holt JCB.
