Atlas Copco acquires German pump manufacturer

Atlas Copco has acquired German pump manufacturer Kracht. The company will be added to its Power and Flow Division within the Power Technique business area.

No financial details of the deal have been revealed and Kracht, which generated revenues of approximately €72 million in 2022, has not added further comment on the sale.

Founded in 1911 and headquartered in Werdhol, Kracht manufactures a range of pumping equipment, including hydraulic, transfer and special pumps.

It also manufactures fluid measurement tools, valves, hydraulic drives and dosing systems. 

It’s main end user markets are process industries, renewables (where it’s pump components are used in wind turbines), the marine power sector, as well as hydraulics (including components for construction equipment).

The company has subsidiaries in the US, China and Hungary and employs approximately 440 members of staff.
