JCB in UK first Teleskid delivery
01 May 2025

UK rental company Arnold Plant Hire has become the first in the country to invest in a fleet of JCB Teleskid machines, taking delivery of six 3TS-8W models.
Supplied by Gunn JCB, the new machines are fully specified for the waste and recycling sector, featuring factory-fitted guarding and heavy-duty solid tyres.
The investment strengthens Arnold Plant Hire’s long-standing relationship with JCB, which includes operating the UK’s largest fleet of JCB Teletruks.
Arnold Plant Hire Director, Stuart Hunter, said, “We are delighted to add this innovative product to our existing range.
“The JCB Teleskid offers our customers the world’s safest and most versatile skid steer loader and makes a strong addition to our specialist machinery portfolio.”
The JCB Teleskid 3TS-8W is said to be the only skid steer loader on the market with a telescopic boom, delivering increased lift height, forward reach and dig depth.
A side-entry cab and single-arm Powerboom improve operator safety and visibility – both essential features for waste industry applications.
Powered by a 55kW Stage V JCB DieselMAX engine, the Teleskid offers improved performance alongside reduced fuel consumption.
The latest cab design includes a 7” touchscreen display, rear-view camera, electro-hydraulic bucket levelling, and joystick customisation via the MyChoice control system.
Based in Stockport, Arnold Plant Hire operates a fleet of more than 500 machines. The new Teleskid machines are now available for hire across the UK.
