28 April 2025
Manitou has reported a drop in net sales of 12% in the first quarter of its 2025 financial year, in line with expectations, while order intake is on the rise and revenues are forecasted to be stable across the year.
Group sales amounted to €600 million in the first quarter of 2025, compared to €685 million in the same period in 2024. Order intake, on the other hand, was up 8% on the final quarter of 2024 at €574m, and up 209% on the first quarter of 2024.

Michel Denis, President and CEO of Manitou, said “First quarter revenues are in line with our expectations. This first quarter is marked by a continued increase in order intake which is higher than in the fourth quarter of 2024.
“This good momentum rewards the work carried out by the teams to make new product ranges available and adapt to our markets.”
In addition, added, Denis, “The order book has normalized, allowing us to confirm the expectation of stable revenues in 2025 compared with 2024 and of a recurring operating profit rate for 2025 to be around 5.5% of revenues.” The total order book at the end of the first quarter stood at €1,169 million versus €1,878 million in the same period last year.
Denis added that the company had taken steps to limit the impact of any tariffs set by the US Trump administration.
By division; the Product division reported quarterly revenues of €490 million, down 16% compared with the first quarter of 2024 and reflects the forecast in demand made during the 2024 financial year, said the company.
With revenues of €110 million, the Services & Solutions division (S&S) recorded a 7% increase in its activity compared. The result underlines the resilience of the spare parts and services activities, added the company.
Across the group, the company said it expected stable revenues in 2025 compared with 2024 and a recurring operating profit rate for 2025 of around 5.5% of revenues.
