UK-based sustainable equipment specialist Ace Plant has acquired the hire division and brand title of Electric Wheels, in a move that significantly expands its electric utility vehicle (UTV) fleet.

The acquisition includes what is said to be the UK’s largest fleet of electric UTVs and golf buggies.

Now operating under Ace Plant’s management, the expanded national fleet will continue to serve a wide range of sectors including construction, agriculture, public services, and events.

“This is a divisional purchase. We have acquired the hire division and brand title of Electric Wheels. Why? To expand our electric offering. Electric Wheels are stepping away from the hire market, and we’re stepping in,” said George Wheeler, managing director of Ace Plant Ltd.

“This is part of our strategy to grow our market share. And we have the ambition to acquire a larger portion of that market.”
