Renta Group acquires container specialist

Nordic-based rental company Renta Group has acquired Containertech Rental. No financial details of the transaction have been disclosed.

Based in Norway and founded in 2007, Containertech is a specialist in the design and manufacture of customised container-based solutions for sectors such as defense, construction, industry and infrastructure.

Its product portfolio includes mobile units for command and control, field hospitals, emergency response, treatment systems, power generation equipment, fuel storage and compressed air systems as well as insulated accommodation and office modules built for extreme conditions.

It employs 45 members of staff and generates annual revenues of NOK 26 million (€2.2 million). 

Renta Group said the deal further strengthens its position in the infrastructure rental segment and aligns with its strategy to expand its specialised infrastructure machinery rental business.

It described Containertech as a “rapidly growing company with strong profitability and a modern fleet from high-quality OEMs.”

“By combining Containertech Rental’s operations and fleet with Renta, we see a strong opportunity to elevate our capabilities. This acquisition not only reinforces our market position but also enables us to offer a more complete and competitive solution to our customers in the infrastructure space.”

The deal for Containertech is the first the company has completed this year and follows an active 2024 in the M&A space.

Last year the company acquired no less than six companies, including Tunnel Support AS and Tunnel Support Sverige AB, Caro Design and Rondellen.

It was also among the fastest growing companies in the 2024 edition of the IRN100.
