Point of Rental and Hilti partner on tool tracking

Point of Rental and Hilti have announced a new integration that aims to give plant and construction users greater visibility and control over the tools they hire.

The partnership connects Point of Rental’s Syrinx 365 rental management software with Hilti’s On!Track asset tracking platform, enabling more efficient handling of equipment and tool inventories across jobsites.

Syrinx 365 is Point of Rental’s flagship ERP system for hire and rental businesses, offering end-to-end management of operations including contracts, invoicing, scheduling, logistics, and fleet maintenance.

The cloud-based platform is widely used in the UK and international markets by rental companies looking to streamline workflows and reduce administrative overhead.

Hilti’s On!Track, meanwhile, is an asset management system designed to help construction firms track tools, equipment, and consumables across locations and teams.

It uses tags and scanners to provide real-time visibility of assets, improving accountability, reducing tool loss, and ensuring equipment is available where and when it’s needed.

Point of Rental said the integration allows users of both platforms to synchronise key data including tools and other trackable assets, jobsite locations, and personnel authorised to manage equipment.

It also enables automatic alignment of assets with rental contracts, and facilitates instant off-hiring.
