Aggreko adds natural gas generators to Greener Upgrades range

Power rental company Aggreko has expanded its Greener Upgrades portfolio with the launch of three new natural gas generators.

The new models include a 350 kW generator, a 1500 kW generator, and a 1500 kW Rapid Deploy trailer-mounted unit. All three are designed to support customers aiming to reduce emissions and fuel costs while improving energy efficiency.

Aggreko said the new gas units are built around the principles of the Greener Upgrades initiative, which offers a suite of modular energy solutions that can be tailored to specific site needs across sectors including urban development, commercial facilities, and remote field operations.

The 350 kW generator is trailer-mounted for rapid deployment and features rich-burn combustion, making it suitable for use in non-attainment zones. Meanwhile, the 1500 kW generator – Aggreko’s largest gas model to date – is described as a robust and durable unit capable of running on a variety of gas types. A mobile version of the 1500 kW unit is also available for sites requiring maximum flexibility.

The gas generators join an existing range of natural gas solutions in the Greener Upgrades line, which now spans from 210 kW to 1500 kW. All benefit from Aggreko’s Greener Power Packages, which include right-sizing, fuel management, and real-time remote monitoring via its 24/7 Remote Operations Centre.

Alongside the new gas products, Aggreko’s Greener Upgrades line also includes low-emission Tier 4 Final generators, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and electrical distribution technologies.
